Local Governing Boards
Each school has a local board, either a Local Governing Board (LGB) or an Executive Board (EB), which is a committee of the board of trustees and aims to connect the board and the local community of the school.
The boards are established to ensure good governance of each Academy. The board is responsible for upholding the Trust’s mission and values in the local context, alongside ensuring the effective delivery of the school’s distinctive ethos and curriculum.
The role of an LGB or EB is to be focused on the impact of the school’s work to serve and engage with its local community, children and context.
